The Vision
Where Business Begins & Community Grows
WoMa Bazaar is a marketplace that is working towards supporting small businesses, the local community, and entrepreneurs by reducing the risk of starting up through affordable rental options and increased access to business services. Over the last year, WoMa Bazaar has pivoted and grown into the exciting new concept of taking an existing building in Mount Pleasant and converting it into our permanent location where we can host festivals, fairs, live music, and other new experiences. WoMa Bazaar will be a multi-functional inclusive space where the community thrives, business begins, and individuals support each other.
Lower Level: Community Workspace & Cafe
WoMa Bazaar’s goal is to help not only the community come together but for entrepreneurs to be set up for success. The lower level will primarily be used by WoMa vendors who need to meet with clients or consultants. It will also be where the coffee shop/cafe is located and where the WoMa Bazaar team offices will be housed. Eventually it could be rented out to community members for different events.
Main Level: Bazaar (Marketplace)
Over the last year WoMa Bazaar has pivoted to an indoor outdoor community marketplace rather than a fully outdoor business due to concerns of severe Michigan weather. Despite the love for the original idea WoMa Bazaar had to think realistically long term. So it shifted from converting shipping containers that are located inside and outside our building along with different build outs that remained consistent with our brand. Our main level will have both food and retail vendors, a full bar, a stage, seating, and garage doors to create an indoor outdoor experience when the weather is warmer. This level is also where our events will take place.
Upper Level: Roof Top Bar
This will be the place to be in Mount Pleasant, on one side it will overlook north campus of Central Michigan University and the other side will overlook a stage and outdoor community space that will be the location of many exciting events.
